According to an article from DailyHerald.com, “It’s one of the great love affairs of the food world. Like peanut butter and jelly or coffee with cream, pizza and beer have always gone together.”
Customers can now get a beer that takes the place of pizza at Walter Payton’s Roundhouse in Aurora, IL, the report said. The pizza beer is a brew flavored with garlic, oregano, basil, and tomato.
“Most people have pizza and beer; now you can have pizza in beer,” says Walter Payton’s brewmaster Mike Rybinski in the report. “It’ll go great with pastas and all sorts of stuff.”
