It’s the most popular pizza style in 42 states, according to the Washington Post. And it could help build on Domino’s Q4 2023 momentum in same-store sales growth. Of course, we mean New York-style pizza, which is the style most Americans think of when they think of pizza.

Domino’s has introduced its own version of the classic pie, the New York Style Pizza, saying it’s “designed to be even more delicious, whether you hail from New York City or beyond.” Cut into six big, foldable slices, it will feature a melty blend of two cheeses—100% real mozzarella and provolone.

The menu addition is virtually guaranteed to spark curiosity and drive trial for the No. 1 pizza chain, especially with the affordable deals offered by the chain. And it reflects the brand’s commitment, announced in December 2023, to increase systemwide sales by $7 billion over five years with a plan called Hungry For MORE.

Additionally, last year the brand rolled out two new menu items: the Pepperoni Stuffed Cheesy Bread and the Loaded Tots.

“Domino’s prides itself on offering a variety of pizza crusts for all different tastes,” Domino’s CEO Russell Weiner said in a press release. “Our pizza chefs created this new pizza crust to allow the deliciousness of our ingredients to shine through. It has the perfect balance of crust, sauce, cheese and toppings in every bite, making it the star of the show. New York Style Pizza may become our customers’ new favorite crust!”
