A New Haven landmark since 1925, the place has been heralded on the Food Network, the Travel Channel and in such books as “American Pie: My Search for the Perfect Pizza,” by Peter Reinhart. Customers line up for Pepe’s offerings, including the white-clam pizza, which has achieved near-legendary status on foodie blogs and websites.

“Hartford-area fans no longer need to make the trek to Wooster Square to feed their cravings. Last week, an outpost opened in the Buckland Hills section of Manchester, and when we arrive, the line stretches around the parking lot,” said the story.
