Chicago, IL – SportScapeSM, the TV sports network engaging away-from-home sports viewers via a unique interactive TV application that combines live network TV sports programming with original localized digital sports content, today announced that the initial 1,000 sports bar installations across 30 key U.S. markets will be completed by mid-September.  The SportScape network reached its goal of having affiliates in cities where professional sports are played.

SportScape is broadcast in top sports-oriented bars throughout the U.S. and utilizes patented technology and processes to enhance the away-from-home sports viewing experience by wrapping live broadcast television with dynamic sports-fan-relevant commentary.  The network recently added an additional content platform by launching “Sidelines”, a Blog for sports fans featuring original and unique sports commentary penned by SportScape sports writers.

“We are very excited with the growth of the SportScape network since its launch in May 2009. During the last three months, we have expanded rapidly and are now broadcast into 30 key U.S. markets.  We’ve also secured several new advertisers and sponsors including Jim Beam Brands and the Sports Legends Challenge,” says Rick Sebok, CMO of SportScape.  “During the next few months we will further increase our national presence to achieve our year-end target of 2,500 venues in key DMA markets throughout the country.”
