Two culinary worlds are colliding at Rikoā€™s Pizza, a Connecticut-based franchise specializing in Stamford-style hot oil pies, and the result is a new menu addition: the American Cheeseburger Pie.

Rikoā€™s launched the pizza on Friday, June 9, as a limited-time offer. It features classic burger ingredients as toppings, including seasoned ground beef, onions, jalapeƱos, shredded mozzarella and American cheese, all on Rikoā€™s signature thin-crust pie.

Rikoā€™s Pizza has a total of eight locations in Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield and Darien, Connecticut, Levittown and Merrick, New York, and Tequesta, Florida. The American Cheeseburger Pie will be offered this summer at all eight stores.

Founded in 2011 by Rico Imbrogno, Rikoā€™s Pizza started as a single-location family business in Stamford before expanding to three states. Itā€™s best known for its thin-crust, Stamford-style hot oil pies featuring a spicy, housemade oil infused with stinger peppers.Ā According to Foodigenous, Stamford-style oil ā€œwill leave your lips feeling like they were kissed by the devil” without dominating the pieā€™s other flavors.

Other signature pies on the Rikoā€™s menu include the Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza, the Salad Pizza and, just so you don’t forget youā€™re in Connecticut, the Clam Pizza.
