Papa Murphy’s, the global take-and-bake pizza concept based in Vancouver, Washington, is launching the return of a crowd favorite, the Taco Grande Pizza, at participating U.S. locations nationwide from April 22 to May 19.
The culinary fusion recipe features toppings of zesty taco meat (ground beef or grilled chicken), Roma tomatoes, onions, black olives, hand-grated cheddar and whole-milk mozzarella, all atop a base of refried beans and salsa.
Advertised as “Just in Time for Cinco de Mayo” and “Looks Like a Pizza, Tastes Like a Taco,” Papa Murphy’s execs are excited to bring back the pie for a limited time. “The Taco Grande Pizza is truly a phenomenon that our guests look forward to all year round,” says Tracey Ayres, vice president of brand and innovation. “It serves up big-time taco flavors in a festive, easy-to-prepare pizza that brings the party right to their kitchen.”
