According to a news report from salem-news.com, “It is with a mixture of sadness and relief that we are announcing that we will be shutting the doors of Lefty’s forever after tonight’s show with Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes,” owners Karen and John Graham said.

“A popular downtown Salem pizzeria and music hot spot abruptly closed it’s doors Saturday night. The owners of Lefty’s on State Street annouced the closure on their website. Karen and John Graham opened the pizza parlor and music venue, popular with blues and jazz musicians, in 2003,” according to the story.
