According to a news report on CBS5.com, “a fundraiser is being held at a pizzeria in Seaside on Tuesday to benefit the Carmel area and Monterey-San Benito Counties chapters of the American Red Cross.”

“Me-n-Ed’s Pizzeria is hosting the fundraiser, which will feature emergency response vehicles from the Red Cross and information on disaster preparedness. Between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday, 40 percent of proceeds from the orders of large or family-size pizzas for dine-in, take-out or delivery will go to the local chapters of the Red Cross. A purchase of the pizzas will also earn customers a chance to win a free “Me-n-Ed’s School Tour,” which will give a class of up to 20 students a guided tour of the pizzeria and will teach children how to make their own personal pizza. The two chapters serve just under 500,000 people in Monterey and San Benito counties by providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies,” the story said.
