According to a news report from erstarnews.com, “Pizza Man and the Elk River Police Department have teamed up to bring a closer watch over neighborhoods.”

“The idea is for pizza delivery drivers to be another set of eyes for the police department,” said the story. “Elk River Police Chief Jeff Beahen said it’s not always possible for police to check all neighborhoods a few times every night. However, many pizza delivery drivers are not only in the Elk River, Otsego and Big Lake Township neighborhoods, they’re also there multiple times and are very familiar with the area and would notice if something seemed out of place.”
