Philadelphia-based Pizza Freak Co. said it has become the top-selling frozen pizza brand—both in units and dollars—at Weavers Way Co-Op, the company’s earliest retail supporter, as of January 2025.

Originally introduced to the shelves of Weavers Way Co-Op’s Ambler, Pennsylvania location in May 2024, Pizza Freak Co. has quickly built a loyal following. Through frequent in-store demonstrations at their four stores and strong word-of-mouth support, the brand has climbed to the No. 1 spot, surpassing even the most well-known national brands in frozen pizza sales.

“We are proud and humbled by the response from Weavers Way Co-op members and shoppers,” said Chef Brad Daniels, co-founder of Pizza Freak Co. and chef-owner of the critically acclaimed Tresini Bar & Cucina, located just a mile from Weavers Way Ambler. “This achievement validates our mission to bring restaurant-quality pizza to home kitchens, using the best ingredients and techniques honed in professional kitchens.”

Co-founder Chef Brad Kilgore emphasized the importance of in-store tastings for Pizza Freak Co. “Our in-store tastings show folks just how easy it is to take Pizza Freak Co. to the next level by adding their favorite toppings and condiments,” he said. “For example, our recent ‘Fly Eagles Pie’ starts with our Three Cheese Pizza, available on the shelf, and is topped with green pickled jalapeños, black olives and red ‘nduja. Each bite is finished with a little dressed arugula and grated Parmesan cheese. It’s a bold bite, honoring the World Champions.”

Weavers Way Co-op, known for championing the best locally produced foods, has played a key role in Pizza Freak Co.’s early success. Its commitment to showcasing top-tier local brands has helped introduce Pizza Freak Co. to a community that values craftsmanship, authenticity, and bold flavors.
