According to the St. Louis Business Journal, “When Pi Pizzeria announced its plans to open District of Pi in Washington, D.C., last October, the hope was the restaurant could be open for Pi Day, i.e. March 14 (you know, 3.14).”

“Well, that day has come, but District of Pi has not. According to Pi’s Chris Sommers, permitting delays have pushed the opening back until at least June. “Bureaucracy won out,” he says. All is not lost for fans of the pizzeria (among them, President Barack Obama); the company has been selling pizzas through its District of Pi Pizza Truck. And today, you can get one for $3.14.”
