According to a news report from courier-journal.com, “With a few clicks on a cell phone, hungry consumers soon will be able to order their favorite Papa John’s pizza via text message.”

“The Louisville-based company plans to roll out the service next week at all of its approximately 2,700 U.S. locations,” said the story. “Nearly one in five Papa John’s orders are already made online, and competitors such as Domino’s Pizza promote mobile orders with Web-enabled phones. But in a conference call with analysts yesterday, Papa John’s Chief Executive Nigel Travis said the company is the first in the industry to offer text-message ordering on such a wide scale.”
