Centreville, VA – Paisano’s, a six-unit gourmet pizza delivery chain headquartered in Fairfax County, VA, announces that it has begun franchising in Maryland.

“This marks the beginning of huge things for Paisano’s,” said CEO Fouad Qreitem. “It was only within the past 10 days we were awarded franchising rights to Virginia; now with Maryland added, let me say that on behalf of the entire Paisano’s family, we can’t wait to have Marylanders experience the Paisano’s difference!”

A total of 17 targeted locations in Maryland have been identified by the newly formed Paisano’s Franchise System, Inc. Qreitem cited communities that include Laurel, Bowie, Beltsville, Clinton, Annapolis, Potomac, Bethesda, Rockville, Olney, Waldorf and Columbia, among others. Company-owned Paisano’s outlets are already up and running in Chantilly, Fair Lakes, Fairfax City, Herndon, Reston and Centreville, VA. “The greater Washington DC area is a highly desirable, comparatively stable marketplace with phenomenal demographics and a consistent pattern of growth,” said Qreitem.  “We’re truly excited to be expanding the Paisano’s footprint into Maryland.”

To aid in this expansion, Paisano’s Franchise System has teamed up with Franchise Consulting LLC.  The Fairfax, VA-based firm has been tasked with growing Paisano’s to 50 units over the next five years. “I have every confidence that Franchise Consulting CEO Mike Halpern and his great franchise development team will effectively direct our expansion into the targeted Virginia-Maryland-District of Columbia marketplace and eventually, beyond,” said Qreitem.

Paisano’s has been serving customers in Northern Virginia since 1997.  Its menu includes pizza, pasta, subs, strombolis, wings, salads, desserts and other typical Italian fare.  “But that’s where the ‘typical’ ends,” said Qreitem, “because we take great pride in preparing our meals fresh for customers who demand only the best cheeses, the finest meats, fresh garlic, pure olive oil and service second to none. And we deliver!

“Pizza delivery is a huge business and it is what we do best,” added Qreitem.  “Our aggressive plans for expansion are supported by statistics.”  Industry numbers suggest that nearly 95 percent of Americans consume at least one pizza pie each month and that the average family eats pizza around 30 times a year.

These numbers remain steady even during lean times, as Paisano’s comp sales are up eight percent this year.  Franchise Consulting CEO Mike Halpern said, “This is a great time for entrepreneurs to purchase a franchise in a highly recognized industry boasting tremendous income potential.”

Different from other run-of-the-mill pizza delivery chains, Halpern believes that Paisano’s is in a category by itself.  It has developed a menu that was previously found only in casual dining Italian restaurants and delivers it to customers’ doorsteps for a fraction of the cost.  “Take this unique, freshly prepared menu, coupled with Paisano’s proven operating system, and it’s a ‘can’t miss’ for potential franchisees,” concluded Halpern.”

Paisano’s is headquartered in Centreville, VA and has been operating in Northern Virginia for over 12 years. Since the first Paisano’s opened in the Shops at Fair Lakes in June of 1997, Paisano’s currently runs six company-owned units in Fairfax County; more outlets are planned.
