Omega 3 Chia® (Salvia Hispanica L) is a seed from a tropical plant in the mint family.
Chia seeds served as one of the main components of the Aztec diet for over 3500 years.

The addition of 2-3% (of dry net wieght) Omega 3 Chia® allows for a 25% reduction of salt and/
or sugar in pizza dough (or any sauce) without losing any of the flavor profile. Chia’s soluble
fiber gel – formed when in contact with liquid – will actually enhance flavor, and offers a softer
texture; something generally difficult to achieve when baking gluten free.

Add approximately 2-3% chia and add 20% more liquid and now you have a Functional Food.
