The Colorado locations of Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom are proposing a toast to avalanche rescue dogs in a promotional team-up with Great Divide Brewing Company on Wednesday, May 24.

Old Chicago will host Tapping Parties from 6 to 8 p.m. to highlight Great Divide’s Tangerine IPA brew. Guests can enjoy pizza and beer in the company of their dogs at all Colorado stores that have patios. A portion of sales for every Tangerine IPA will help the Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment (C-RAD) Wonderpup K9 Medical Fund.

The fund provides medical care for avalanche rescue dogs. C-RAD has been employing specially trained rescue dogs to probe debris and find victims of avalanches since 1987.

“We’re thrilled to partner with a local brewery like Great Divide,” said Casey Terrell, chief marketing officer for SPB Hospitality, the parent company of Old Chicago, Logan’s Roadhouse and other restaurant brands. “We hope this tapping party with pups on the patio reminds guests that patios at Old Chicago are dog-friendly. Name a better way to support our favorite pets than with a beer in hand!”

Founded in 1976, Old Chicago operates 79 restaurants in 23 states. It’s also the home of the World Beer Tour, which rewards members for enjoying 110 of the best craft beers from down the street to across the globe.
