Acording to cincinnati.bizjournals.com, “Toppers Pizza, a Wisconsin chain known for a pizza called the ‘Hangover Helper’ and other irreverencies, is opening its first Ohio location in Cincinnati.”

“The expansion will be headed by local executive Bob Fullarton and sons Dave and Rick, of Anderson Township. A location has yet to be determined, though the Fullartons are looking at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University, with an opening date of 2010, before the school year ends.”

“’My brother and I really wanted to get into something together,’ Dave Fullarton said. ‘We just felt we had a unique perspective on college life, him being recently graduated from Miami and I having worked as a college recruiter for some companies.’”

“Bob Fullarton, an executive vice president at DunnhumbyUSA, is from Appleton, Wis., and it was on a trip to the state that Dave and Rick visited Toppers.”

“’We just fell in love with it,’ Fullarton said. ‘We did some research on it; we found out just how fanatical the fans become. They get the college market completely. They offer a product that is highly sought-after in that market.’”

“Toppers, based in Whitewater, Wis., operates its nearest location in West Lafayette, Ind. it targets 18- to 34-year-olds with pizza toppings that include macaroni and cheese, baked potatoes and Philadelphia cheese steak.Toppers operates 26 locations, most in Wisconsin. It plans to operate 100 locations by 2013.”
