According to a news report from mantecabulletin.com, “Purchase a complete dinner Wednesday at the East Union Cemetery, drive-thru fashion, and help this struggling historic burial place gain a new life.”

“The menu? Pizza. No, not Tombstone Pizza but Manteca’s very own Guido’s Take-U-Bake Pizza,” said the story. “Guido’s owners Morgan and Tina Caperon are donating all the profits from this fund-raiser. The drive-thru pizza fund-raiser will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Customers will come in to the cemetery at the Louise Avenue entrance and exit at the Union Road gate. Caperon said they will have a variety of choices, from a complete meal consisting of a slice of pizza with salad and soda for $5, a large pepperoni and cheese for $15, and a large combo for $15. Take-U-Bake pizza will be available as well.”
