“Fireside Pizza Co., located in Squaw Valley Village, has partnered with Skiing and Snowboarding for Disabled and Underprivileged Children and older Kids (SkiDUCK) by providing a meal for each program member during their Spring Splash event held on April 1,” reported the Sierra Sun. “Fireside Pizza Co donates meals to feed more than 200 youths on this day. After a day of alpine adventuring, kids and volunteers take a break to enjoy freshly baked pizzas and pasta dishes and piping hot cookies for dessert. ”

‘“It makes my day when I see these kids come in for lunch after skiing here at Squaw,’ said Ray Villaman, owner of Fireside Pizza Co. ‘Without the dedication of the volunteers, these kids would not get the chance to experience the mountains like the locals. We are always happy to serve SkiDUCK when they are in the area and to aid these kids in their growing love for the Sierra Mountain Range. ’ SkiDUCK is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of disabled and underprivileged children by making available the experience of skiing and snowboarding at Squaw Valley. “
