(Press release), Coppell, Texas, June 5, 2013 – CiCi's Pizza, home of the endless pizza, pasta, salad and dessert buffet, announced today that it is exploring growth opportunities in nontraditional venues after introducing several new restaurant prototypes designed exclusively for airports.  The initiative to expand in airports marks a significant milestone for America's Favorite Pizza Chain whose nontraditional growth plans also includes venues such as casinos, military bases and universities.

To introduce the new airport-specific franchise opportunity to prospective entrepreneurs, executives with CiCi’s Pizza will exhibit at the 2013 Airport Business Diversity Conference in San Diego from Saturday, June 8, until Tuesday, June 11, 2013.  The AMAC show will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, and CiCi’s Pizza will exhibit at booth 45.

“CiCi’s Pizza has an incredibly unique position in the marketplace given the brand’s emphasis on quality, variety and value.  It is exciting to offer airport prototypes that are built around exceeding the expectations of today’s travelers,” said Thomas McCord, VP of Real Estate and Franchise Development at CiCi’s Pizza.  “We are fully committed to opening CiCi’s units in some of the country’s most highly recognized airports, and we’re eager to find well-qualified franchise partners who are passionate about delivering on our brand promise.”

Effective immediately, CiCi’s Pizza will offer flexible store design prototypes to accommodate the versatile requirements of today’s airports, which include innovative designs for food courts, grab & go locations, in addition to a custom designed kiosk.   From an airport Food and Beverage perspective, franchisees and concessionaires will benefit from CiCi’s Pizza national brand recognition.  With 28 years of experience, more than 500 locations in 34 states, CiCi’s is recognized as the leader in quality, value and variety.  This together with an operational platform focused on speed of service, CiCi’s Pizza is positioned to maximize the sales and revenue potential of the airport space.

Customers who frequent a CiCi’s Pizza airport location will be able to enjoy a variety of pizzas, salads, sandwiches, wings, drinks and a novel breakfast menu designed for portability.

The move into airports is part of a much larger company mission to aggressively grow the brand in the coming years, which includes traditional development in underserved markets, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., Chicago, Miami and St. Louis.
