""According to the Huffington Post, “The Chicago Bears may not be in the Super Bowl (thanks, Jay), but that isn’t stopping an Elk Grove, Ill. family from spreading the Chicago-style love on game day.”

“Pizzas 4 Patriots, a local nonprofit started by retired Master Sergeant Mark Evans and his son, has its “Operation Pizza Bowl” in full swing, according to the Associated Press. The group is sending a “slice of home” — a deep-dish slice, of course — to U.S. troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea, just in time for the Super Bowl on February 6. About 7,000 pizzas will be shipped overseas. Uno Chicago Grill is responsible for making most of the deep-dish pies, and a private label pizza company chipped in as well. DHL is shipping the comestibles around the world.”
