Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza Opens Four New Locations, Including Its 50th Grand Opening

DALLAS May 9, 2007 Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza is seeing significant growth in 2007.  Since January they have opened four new locations, including celebrating the 50th grand opening in Fort Worth, Texas.  The restaurant franchise has plans on opening an additional 16 locations by December.  The four new locations include:

  • Champaign, Ill.
  • Bentonville, Ark.
  • Fort Worth, Texas
  • and most recently Layton, Utah.

Last month Boston’s also introduced a menu that featured 18 additional signature items.  In addition to a variety of specialty pizzas, pastas and burgers, the menu also showcases a new design geared toward offering customers a sophisticated and user-friendly experience. Boston’s casual-dining menu features more than 100 items, including salads and sandwiches, along with sports bar favorites, such as wings and ribs.

“Boston’s is going through a major growth period and it’s an exciting time for the entire franchise organization,” said Doug MacDonald, president of Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza.  “Our sister company, Boston Pizza, is the No. 1 casual dining brand in Canada – our goal is to be the No. 1 casual dining brand in the United States.  With our continued growth success, and the overwhelming response to the new menu we see us moving closer to our goal. ”

Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza has experienced significant growth since Doug MacDonald became president in January.  The restaurant opened its first location in the United States in 1998 in Tempe, Ariz.  All of its locations across the United States now feature the new menu.  The franchise also will be re-opening three locations in the coming year to update them with state-of-the-art features and a contemporary design.

The restaurants that will be re-opened in Killeen and Irving, Texas and Highlands Ranch, Colo. will offer customers a more visually-appealing, updated look combined with Boston’s familiar, high-energy ambience and great tasting dining experience.  In addition to an updated dining area, some locations will install plasma televisions mounted on an octagonal console for guaranteed premium viewing from every seat in the bar.

“In the next year we will be continuing to make improvements like these renovations to continue our success,” explained MacDonald about the renovations that some of the locations will be seeing.  “This past year it was the menu, in the coming months we are going to be making some updates to a few of our locations so we can continue to provide an atmosphere that our customers can enjoy – in the dining and bar areas.”

Separated by a full wall, Boston’s features a casual, family-friendly restaurant on one side and a state-of-the-art sports bar customized with local memorabilia on the other. While the new look will feature many notable additions to the restaurant, patrons will still enjoy the great lunch and happy hour specials already available.
