Bill Rogers of Culinary TV and Treasure Rock Productions hit another major pizza destination in the Carolinas: Aria Tuscan Grill, a gorgeous downtown Charlotte eatery offering the flavors of Tuscany in the American South. “It’s like an old world-style setting and feel to the restaurant, which goes with the food as well,” says co-owner Pierre Bader. “We pride ourselves on making everything from scratch.”

“What we try and do here is keep things really simple and true to our Tuscan roots,” said Chef Alex Piatt. Piatt and his kitchen team prepare an extensive menu with everything from gnocchi dumplings, stuffed cappelletti and braised pork osso buco to the Margherita Napoletana and Bianca pizzas. The Margherita pie is heavy on the buffalo mozz with a light sauce featuring San Marzano tomatoes, Pratt says.

The restaurant also boasts a huge selection of wines, 99 percent of which are Italian. Watch the video below to learn more!
