A fresh, hot pizza can be just the thing for a cold winter’s night, but Pizza Hut is taking it one step further with a pizza-themed weighted blanket.
Inspired by Pizza Hut’s famous Original Pan Pizza, the Original Pan Weighted Blanket was developed in a collaboration with Gravity Blanket, a weighted blanket manufacturer. According to a press release, the blanket “packs 15 pounds of luxurious comfort.”
At a full 72 inches in diameter, the blanket features a premium micro-fleece duvet cover and the therapeutic power of deep-touch pressure stimulation.
Available for a limited time, it will sell for $150, touted as a 25 percent savings for a comparable full-priced weighted blanket from Gravity Blanket. It can be purchased here.
“There’s no better way to close out 2020 than eating a Pizza Hut Original Pan Pizza while wrapped in the warmth and comfort of the Original Pan Weighted Blanket,” said George Felix, Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer, in a statement. “This partnership with Gravity Blanket was the perfect solution to bring one of our legendary pizzas to life while bringing our fans a little TLC at the same time.”
Pizza Hut celebrated the 40th anniversary of its Original Pan Pizza this year.
