Genuine New York Pizza

Want to know how to make the real thing? Real New York Pizza? How about real Italian Pizza? How about the incredibly creative and exciting Aussie pizza line? When you leave New York, you’ll bring back the recipes and secrets to all of these great pizzas. You’ll want to take part in at least one of these pizza workshops, which will be conducted on the floor of the PMQ wing of the Javits Center. Chef Bruno will demonstrate how to make New York Pizza. Italy and Australia’s national pizza champions will re-create their award winning pizzas. See page 50 for more information.

Pizza: The Movie

Independent New York filmmakers Joe dos Santos and Michael Dorian are traveling around the pizza industry looking for the people and stories that make our industry such a colorful and unique place to earn a living. PMQ will follow their adventures and let you know where they have been and where they are going. They recently toured the South explaining the origins of Southern pizza, visiting PMQ and then traveling to Memphis, Tennessee, and discovering Elvis’s favorite pizzeria. What would Elvis order? You’ll have to see the movie.

Filming will continue around the country and around the world until they reach their scheduled finish in March of 2005. They will also be filming the New York Pizza Show on November 2nd and 3rd. See you in the movies! Read more on page 48.

Pizza: The TV Show

The Food Network production company, High Noon Productions, has selected PMQ to consult on the production of a pizza television show, which will be filmed before a live studio audience in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 13, 2004. Look for PMQ contributors Big Dave and Chef Bruno as well as members of the 2004 U.S. Pizza Team to be featured.

Pizza Today

PMQ’s long awaited 2004 annual pizza industry report is finally here. Pizza Power 2004 is the result of researching many sources, comparing reams of reports and analyzing the changes and trends we’ve seen over the last year. PMQ is ready to report on the state of pizza today. See page 60.

France Enters America’s Plate Competition

European Pizza Champion Fabien Martin will represent France at the America’s Plate Gourmet Pizza Challenge at the New York Pizza Show. Fabien will be competing against national winners from Australia, Italy and the U.S.

The 2004 U.S. Pizza Team World Tour video is now available on CD and DVD. See how the U.S. Pizza team formed in Los Angeles and Columbus, Ohio, and toured and competed in Munich, Germany, and Salsomaggiore, Italy.
