“The Bajalieh brothers — Jeff, Jason and Chris — are throwing a pizza and beer festival on Saturday, June 9, as Slice Pizza & Brew in Lakeview celebrates its one-year anniversary,” according to the Birmingham News.

“SliceFest 2012, as they are calling it, will take place from noon until midnight in the parking lot next to the restaurant.

Events include family and children’s activities, plus live music from Ophelia, Festival Expressions, Great Book of John, Beavers Trio, the Jon Poor Band and a brass quartet from the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

The festival is free, but pizza and local beers will be available for purchase.

A portion of the T-shirt sales from that day will benefit the American Diabetes Association.”
