According to the Denver Business Journal, “Whole Foods Market Inc. will begin using ECOvention LLC’s “GreenBox” — a pizza container designed to reduce waste — at some 30 of its stores in the Rocky Mountains states.”

“The Austin, Texas-based natural grocery chain (NASDAQ: WFMI) will use the GreenBox to serve take-out customers at its brick-oven pizza counters, New York-based ECOvention said Monday. The GreenBox is made from recycled material and features a top that breaks down into pizza plates, eliminating the need for additional disposable plates. Also, the bottom of the box can be folded to become a compact storage container for leftover pizza, so plastic wrap and foil aren’t needed. Whole Foods plans to expand its use of GreenBoxes at more stores in coming months, ECOvention said.”
