According to the South Florida  Business Journal, ” Pizza Fusion said it has opened its first international franchise in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.”

“The Fort Lauderdale-based gourmet pizza company opened the operation through a master franchise development agreement with Samir Food Co., Ltd., a Samir Group company. Other locations are planned in Saudi Arabia in the near future, the company said in a news release. The restaurant is approximately 3,000 square feet and features eco-friendly building elements that Pizza Fusion includes in its restaurants in the U.S., including Energy Star certified equipment, non-VOC paints, FSC certified wood cabinetry, smart lighting systems, and low flow facets. Friends Michael Gordon and Vahghan Lazar launched Pizza Fusion in 2006. The company has franchises in Atlanta; Clovis, Calif.; Fort Myers; and Hollywood, with others planned for Mesa, Ariz., and Raleigh, N.C., according to its Web site. Samir Group distributes and represents more than 60 multinational companies worldwide.”
