NEW YORK CITY–Popular café and renowned catering company, Cer té of New York (www.Certenyc.com) announced plans to open New York City’s first “green” pizzeria. Pizza by Cer té will open in early Fall 2009 East 56th Street 

Pizza by Cer té will ""make use of every opportunity to be eco-friendly: 

  • The building will be LEED-certified
  • Reutilizing heat from pizza ovens
  • Utilizing rain water for non consumption uses
  • Food will be delivered by foot or via hybrid truck
  • All supplies will be purchased locally
  • Pizza boxes, utensils and paper goods will be made from recyclable materials

In addition to the pizza, the restaurant will feature a full menu to include fresh homemade pasta and a full range of sandwiches, soups and salads. They will also offer unique, eco friendly products for take out or eat in
