“In the case of the dueling Patsy’s eateries, a federal jury in Brooklyn Thursday night issued a trademark infringement verdict that seems like a win for the famed Patsy’s Restaurant in Manhattan but is allowing — for the moment — Patsy’s Pizzeria in Syosset to keep its name,” said the story. “In a verdict that took almost a half-hour to read in the courtroom, the seven-person jury indicated that the Long Island business had infringed on the trademark of the Manhattan restaurant that has been a popular spot with celebrities. “The jury found the likelihood of confusion, which is the threshold of infringement,” said attorney Norman Zevin, of Manhattan, who is representing the Patsy’s Restaurant.”
