According to a news report from newsenterpriseonline.com, “After taking a financial hit from an alleged employee theft, a pizzeria new to town is looking for a buyer — fast.”

“Brooklyn Pizza manager James Thompson confirmed Friday the pizzeria is entertaining offers from potential buyers. He said the sale is necessary after losing more than $80,000 to a series of bad checks written against the business’ account and the account of a one-time partner,” said the story. “That former partner, Mary Ann Wright, 23, was arrested Wednesday on forgery and theft charges. According to court records, Wright, passed a cold check of $30,000 to the business last week. Police and pizzeria staff say Wright also wrote other bad checks on the business’ account.”
