National Restaurant Association Seeks Applications for the Prestigious Kitchen Innovations* Awards
Groundbreaking kitchen equipment to take center stage at 2008 Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show®
(Chicago, Ill.) The National Restaurant Association today announced that it is accepting applications for its prestigious Kitchen Innovations* Awards for 2008. Now in its fourth year, the Kitchen Innovations (KI) program recognizes the most inventive and cutting-edge equipment in the worldwide foodservice market. All KI Award recipients will be showcased in the exclusive Kitchen Innovations Pavilion at the 2008 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, to be held May 17-20 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The Kitchen Innovations Pavilion remains a highly anticipated Show feature for restaurant-and-foodservice operators, dealers, distributors and the news media. All applications are judged by an independent, expert panel of industry leaders consisting of Dan Bendall (principal, FoodStrategy, Inc.), Martin Cowley (sr. mgr., Restaurant Design, The Disney Resort), William Eaton (principal, Cini-Little International), Robert Forrester (principal, Restaurant Industry Solutions), Foster F. Frable Jr. (president, Clevenger-Frable-LaValee Inc.), Rick Gentry (director, Technical Services, Aramark Corp.), Robert Marshall (V.P., U.S. Operations, McDonald’s Corp.), and Kathleen H. Seelye (partner and president, Foodservice Planning, Ricca Newmark Design).

Now in its 89th year, the annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show is the largest single gathering of restaurant, foodservice and lodging professionals in the Western Hemisphere. The 2008 Show will be held May 17-20, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill.
