New locations in McKinney and Highland Village feature enhanced décor, expanded menu and school support programs. Third site planned for end of year.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Two brand new Peter Piper Pizza restaurants are coming to the Dallas market, and both will feature an enhanced restaurant environment and décor, expanded menu including oven-baked sandwiches and fresh tossed salads, a variety of entertainment activities for all ages, and community and school support programs. The first restaurant opens Monday, June 11 in McKinney, at the McKinney Towne Center at Highway 121 and Custer Road. The second opens Monday, July 2 in Highland Village, at The Marketplace in Highland Village at State Highways 2499 and 407.

A third restaurant will open in the Dallas area in late 2007 in Garland. These restaurants are part of a five-year plan set last year to open 10 locations in the Dallas market to bring great food and fun to families in the community. The remaining seven locations will open from 2008 to 2011. Each opening creates about 35 jobs in the community.

Open House events, from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 at the McKinney restaurant and Thursday, July 19 at the Highland Village location, are being held for all community members to attend. The Open Houses will feature free food so guests can sample fresh baked breadsticks, Cinnamon Crunch Dessert and more; a pizza eating contest at 5:30 p.m.; and Skeeball tournaments at 3:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. which children can sign up for at the event. Guests who register for the restaurant’s eClub will be entered in a drawing to win prizes that include iPods, digital cameras, Peter Piper Pizza gift cards and more. General Managers Alan Smalling and Ryan Lacey will be on hand to offer information about community programs and school partnership opportunities, and a DJ will provide music.

“We hope everyone in the community will come out and join us at our Open Houses; we’re excited to introduce our brand to the Dallas market and provide a magical experience for all our guests,” said Jimmy Herrera, District Manager. “We’re sure that everyone will enjoy our inviting décor and layout – the restaurants have high ceilings, special dining sections for adults and families, a revamped game section, warm paint colors and a bright atmosphere.”

The new restaurants will also feature an expanded menu. All Peter Piper Pizza locations offer made-from-scratch pizza, fresh tossed salads, a variety of appetizers and desserts, and a weekday pizza and salad lunch buffet for $3.99. In addition, these locations will also offer oven-baked sandwiches on Parmesan herb bread made from scratch. Guests can choose from Roast Beef Provolone, Turkey Bacon Ranch or Italian Classic sandwiches, or they can build their own sandwich with choices of seven meats, three cheeses, five vegetables and six sauces. In addition, a new Grab ‘n Go area will feature fresh made items that guests can take home and bake at their convenience, including Garlic Cheese Bread, Cinnamon Crunch Dessert and signature Chicken Wings.

Peter Piper Pizza often partners with local schools and youth organizations to offer incentive awards for children who achieve various educational and athletic goals, which include a certificate and a free pizza. The restaurant also offers fundraising opportunities with designated fundraising nights for a specific group or through the sale of buy-one-get-one-free pizza cards. The site is also an outstanding place for hosting group events, and the restaurant can accommodate a camp-over or offer fun behind-the-scenes tours of the restaurant.

Hours of operation for both new restaurants will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays.
