Stores Are To Open Over Four Year Period

EVERETT, WA (January, 2007) – Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza®, the first and only “gourmet” carryout and delivery pizza chain, proudly announces a sub-franchise agreement for 25 stores in Denver and Colorado Springs by 2011. The aggressive growth strategy, fueled by Solomon Franchise Development, Inc., will open its first store in May 2007, while franchising the rest of the 24 stores to interested Colorado franchisees.

Solomon Franchise Development, Inc. brings 35 years of pizza franchise experience to the Colorado marketplace. With an infrastructure in place for site leasing and construction supervision, training, store management and food management, they’re ready to help grow Garlic Jim’s and bring Colorado the taste that all who’ve tried the pizza have come to love. Plans call for moving Solomon Franchise Development headquarters from Washington to Denver, CO.

“Through my experience in the pizza marketplace, I’ve identified Garlic Jim’s as a company that will be successful and I want to be a part of it,” says Valerie Solomon, president, Solomon Franchise Development, Inc. “Some people steer away from a company that is young, but with such an experienced team in place, and a far superior product to the competition, I see this as a great opportunity for the Denver marketplace.”

Colorado’s first store will open in Denver in May 2007. “We’re excited to continue growing at such a rapid pace. It’s because of great additions to the team such as the Solomon group that have allowed us to expand into so many markets so quickly,” says Dwayne Northrop, CEO, Garlic Jim’s. “In just a few months we’ve expanded into New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Texas. We’ve got a superior corporate, like-minded team focused on national growth, and we’re ready to back both the franchisee and sub-franchisor.”

Solomon Franchise Development, Inc will use the Garlic Jim’s pre-approved training program for all the new franchisees. In an effort to maintain the freshness and quality that everyone expects of Garlic Jim’s, all dough will be made on site, and a commissary will open to support all the Colorado-area stores. Additionally, Solomon Franchise Development will hold business opportunity seminars for compatible individuals interested in owning a Garlic Jim’s and ready to be their own boss.

In the $33 billion dollar-a-year, highly competitive U.S. pizza industry, Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza is proud to be the first pizza franchise to focus on quick delivery pizza made fresh with gourmet toppings. Garlic Jim’s in-store system and team member training allows them to make pizza in 20 minutes or less “from order to out the door,” thus pioneering the concept “Gourmet, Right Away.”

At Garlic Jim’s the term ‘gourmet’ signifies more than just the finished pizza – it refers to the finest ingredients: fresh packed sauces, fresh 100% whole milk mozzarella and fresh dough made daily, where the customer can certainly taste the difference. Garlic Jim’s offers customers two crust choices; hand thrown thick crust, made with parmesan cheese and buttermilk, or garlic thin & crispy, four cheese options; mozzarella, cheddar, feta and parmesan, five sauces; classic red, basil pesto, zesty chipotle pesto, Smoky BBQ sauce or olive oil, and a variety of meats, vegetables and gourmet toppings such as roasted garlic, marinated artichoke hearts, corn salsa and sun dried tomatoes.

With gourmet pizzas such as Nutty Chipotle™, zesty chipotle pesto topped with spicy sausage, pepperoni, red onions, tomatoes and cashews, Jim’s Gourmet Garlic™, basil pesto sauce, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese, and Chicken Bacon Ranch, premium chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, red onions and creamy ranch sauce, Garlic Jim’s is putting a new spin on pizza.

Garlic Jim’s has grown from two open units in 2004 to 36 open units and 93 franchises sold in 2006.  In addition to current locations in Oregon, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Washington, Garlic Jim’s has units under development in California, New Jersey, Denver and Dallas. With projections of doubling in size in 2007, Garlic Jim’s is sure to become the fastest growing gourmet pizza franchise in the country.
