World Championship Cheese Contest adds first female Assistant Chief Judge

(Press Release), Plymouth, WI, October 23, 2013 — Masters Gallery Foods, Inc. proudly announced that Sandy Toney was selected as the new Assistant Chief Judge for the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, the first woman to hold the position for the World Championship Cheese Contest since it began in 1957.  Responsible for overseeing the contest, Assistant Chief Judges choose the technical expert judges and administer instructions for grading, cheese types and defects.  “This is a terrific honor for Sandy.  We couldn’t be happier for her,” said Jeff Gentine, the company’s co-owner and Executive Vice President.  “She takes her craft very seriously, and it’s gratifying to see that recognized within our industry.”
