While the world’s largest pizza chain has turned its focus toward solo dining—specifically, the personal-size Domino from Domino’s—Mountain Mike’s Pizza is thinking bigger.

The 48-year-old chain, headquartered in Irvine, California, just opened its 17th location in Texas, this one in Georgetown and helmed by franchisee Rajeev Dewan, who owns two other Mountain Mike’s locations in Manor and Cedar Park, Texas. Dewan is also developing two additional locations in Central Texas, the company said.

The Mountain Mike’s store in Georgetown spans 2,400 square feet and features six big-screen TVs, an outdoor patio, a kids arcade and an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet.

In a press release, Dewan said Mountain Mike’s “gives us the opportunity to bring families together while supporting local schools, first responders and youth programs that make Georgetown thrive.”

Mountain Mike’s has been on a growth spurt this summer, and the family/group dine-in experience remains its focus. Two days before the Georgetown, Texas store opened, franchisee John Sharma opened his own store in Wilsonville, Oregon, marking Mountain Mike’s seventh location in that state. It spans 2,492 feet with all the same amenities as the Georgetown operation.

In July, Mountain Mike’s franchisees opened similarly large stores in Wenatchee, Washington, and El Dorado Hills, California. June saw the opening of a location in Nolensville, Tennessee, part of the greater Nashville metropolitan area. It’s Mountain Mike’s first store in that state. And McKinney, Texas, got its own 2,600-square-foot Mountain Mike’s in late May.

Mountain Mike’s keeps turning up its nose at an industry trend toward smaller, more compact pizzeria locations focused on delivery and carryout. And with good reason, it seems. The company has said it generated record sales in 2025 and reportedly saw a 2% increase in sales over 2024 as well as unit growth of 7.4%, all during a year when the overall pizza category declined 0.3%
