“The pairing makes sense to Bianco, who always dreamed of cooking Italian food but felt she was letting children down when she left teaching after more than 20 years in the public schools. Then it occurred to her that instead of filling the old Carolina Hardware Store on Thompson Street with tables and chairs, she’d limit orders to take-out and build classrooms for a community school,” said the story.
