According to a report from the Kansas City Star, “Leavenworth police on Monday urged people who recently had a delivery by Pizza Hut and paid for it with a credit card to check their statements.”

The report said police believe one of the delivery drivers, a 37-year-old mail, may be responsible for the fraudulent charges.

The article said, “Chris Fuller, a spokesman for Pizza Hut Inc. in Dallas, declined to comment on the incident, saying the company was cooperating with the investigation and did not want to say anything that would impede it.”

Fuller said in the report that the employee in question has been terminated, although no arrest or charges have been brought up at this time.

The report said, “The possible crimes first came to light when a 21-year-old Leavenworth woman told police on March 23 that she discovered fraudulent charges on her credit card account.”

Also referenced was a 47-year-old woman who reported a similar occurrence on April 3, the article said.
