According to a news report from hoinews.com, “Two weeks after pizzeria employees say their restaurant closed unexpectedly, they still have no paychecks.”
“The owner of Leonardo’s in Peoria filed for bankruptcy and employees say they’ve been left in the dark about when they’ll see it,” said the story. “Some have found jobs, some are still looking, and others have filed for unemployment. However, most are filing complaints with the state because they can’t reach the restaurant’s owner to collect money they say they earned. “I loved my job at Leonardo’s. I worked there 17 years total,” said former Leonardo’s manager Sherry Cramer. Cramer says she gave half of her life to Leonardo’s and now she feels betrayed.”
