According to the Queen’s Gazette, “On Thursday, September 2, Pizzeria Uno restaurants will help support the Queens office of the American Red Cross in Greater New York by donating a portion of the day’s receipts through its ‘Dough Raiser’ program.”

“The restaurant will donate to the Queens Red Cross office 20 percent of the receipt of anyone who visits any of the three Pizzeria Uno restaurants in Queens and either provides a ‘Dough Raiser’ coupon or mentions the Red Cross by name. The money raised will help support the chapter’s disaster response operations in Queens. Last year, the chapter responded to 575 emergencies in Queens and assisted 2,481 borough residents with food, shelter and/or counseling following a disaster. So far in 2010, the chapter has responded to 291 emergencies in Queens and assisted 1,486 people.”
