According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, “Tour de Pizza will make its fourth stop in a 22-city, 1,300-mile cycling tour at Luigi’s Pizzeria, 3824 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, in the Food Lion Plaza.”

“The tour is the brainchild of Matt McClellan, owner of the Tour de Pizza, a cycling-themed pizza restaurant in St. Petersburg. McClellan plans to visit 22 independent, family-owned pizzerias on his trip to promote pizza as a component of a healthy diet and lifestyle, and to showcase the community engagement of the local pizzerias. The tour starts June 5 in St. Petersburg and is scheduled to end July 4 in Times Square in New York. He will ride daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will make appearances at each pizzeria at 6 p.m. While on the road, McClellan will wear a hi-def helmet-camera to record the ride and send video uploads daily to the Tour de Pizza website and Facebook page.”
