Pizza Patrón has opened its second corporate-owned store at 526 E. Pipeline Road in Hurst, Texas.

The carryout location is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight.

“We are experiencing double-digit comp sales this year and expanding our footprint in key growth markets,” said Victor Vazquez, business development manager for Pizza Patrón.  “This success is a testament to the strength of the Pizza Patrón brand and business model.”

In the past year, Pizza Patrón has bolstered its position and laid a foundation for high growth by suspending pursuit of new franchisees and eliminating low-performing operations, strategically closing over 20 percent of its stores. The company also narrowed its brand focus from “Hispanic” to “Mexican” to start 2014, intensifying its relationship with customers and further differentiating itself in the marketplace.

Despite having 20 percent fewer stores, Pizza Patrón’s yearly total sales are up 3.9 percent and comp sales are up 10 percent through May.
