According to MarionStar.com, “Michael Angelo’s Pizza recently raised $14,400.55 for its 3rd annual “We Support Our Troops” fundraiser event, falling slightly short of last year’s $16,500.”

“The funds were a blend of 100 percent of pizza sales on Dec. 12 at the Michael Angelo’s Pizza in Kenton, some monetary donations from the communities of Kenton and Rushsylvania, and 100 percent of pizza rain check sales from both pizzeria locations. All of the money will be used to purchase phone cards from the Military Exchange Service for 24 local or locally connected soldiers currently serving overseas or who are getting ready to deploy.
