Pizza Guys presented a $25,000 check at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Sacramento, California on October 18, 2015. In addition, the local franchise chain hopes to surpass the initial donation to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Program (http://makingstrideswalk.org) with the total amount of $35,000 with help of their in-store promotions and online campaigns. Employees have rallied behind the campaign and teams of Pizza Guys employees along with their families and friends have attended multiple area Making Strides Walks including Walnut Creek, Portland (Oregon), Stockton, Modesto, and Sacramento.
This year, the “Slice of Hope” campaign features an extra-large one-topping pizza for $13.99 (Offer Code 1308 in-store and online) of which one dollar of each offer sold will be contributed to the cause. A percentage of every large pizza, their top-selling size, will add to that amount. Customers will also be able to make donations in-store or through their website (http://pizzaguys.com) that will go 100% to the American Cancer Society.
Pizza Guys’ founder and CEO, Shahpour Nejad, said, “We, at Pizza Guys, are overwhelmed with the support of our team members and customers behind our October Slice of Hope campaign. We hope that funds raised will help to one day see a cancer free future. We have all known someone or experienced the fight ourselves. The work that the American Cancer Society does for patients gives resources and hope- we are proud to be a part of that.”
