COVID-19 has put the kibosh on traditional graduation ceremonies across the country, but graduates in the New England area can still celebrate with a pizza party—and for one lucky teenager, it won’t cost a penny, thanks to a promotion this month from Papa Gino’s Pizzeria.

Papa Gino’s, which has nearly 100 restaurants in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut, is offering high school graduates who can’t celebrate their accomplishments in person a chance to win a virtual pizza party they can enjoy with their family and friends.

Here’s how it works:

  • Between May 17 and May 31, Papa Gino’s fans can nominate a deserving 2020 high school grad by commenting on the contest post on Facebook
  • On June 1, one winner and their family will be selected at random to win a pizza party. The winner can also select four friends and their families to join the virtual party.
  • Papa Gino’s will deliver a total of 10 large pizzas, five orders of breadsticks, five 2-liter bottles of soda and 10 pints of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream to the winner, their family and the selected friends and their families, along with Papa Gino’s swag bags.

“We know this year didn’t turn out as planned for our local high school graduates, many of whom grew up with our pizza, and they can’t celebrate this big milestone with a traditional graduation pizza party,” said Papa Gino’s CMO Deena McKinley. “We hope that our virtual pizza party can help bring back some of the fun of the graduation experience to our lucky winners.”
