When you combine the classic calzone with a Mars bar, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing at all, as long as you don’t mind packing on a full day’s worth of calories in a single (immensely enjoyable) sitting.

Romans Pizzeria, located in Merchant City, Glasgow, Scotland, has been fattening up its patrons with dessert pizzas for a while now. The menu features sweet treats like the Banana Stuffed Crust Pizza, made with a candied biscuit spread, whipped cream, toffee ice cream and caramel sauce, along with the irresistible Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pizza, dripping with milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanuts and a peanut butter drizzle.

But the Mars bar calzone, also known as the Mars-Gherita, is in a gustatory league of its own. It starts with chunks of Mars candy bars wrapped in dough, which is then deep-fried and topped with caramel sauce, chocolate ice cream and grated almonds.

It boasts an estimated 1,973 calories, but who’s counting? Certainly not Scottish Sun reporter Colan Lamont, who writes glowingly of the menu item.

“From the moment I cut open the calorific calzone—stuffed with one and a half Mars bars—my mouth began to water,” Lamont says. “After my first bite, there was no going back—it hijacks your taste buds and sends them soaring.”
