According to report from Amny.com, “Five days after the Health Department shut down John’s Pizzeria for the first time in its 78-year history, the restaurant finally fired up its brick ovens again on Tuesday night.”

In the article, owner Peter Castellotti said, “All of the work that needed to be done was done by Saturday morning, but we were not allowed to open until Tuesday because of the Health Department’s inability to expedite the situation.”
