Pizza is the No. 1 ordered food online and that digital prominence makes America's favorite food an economic powerhouse.

Techi.com details the statistics: U.S., pizza is a $40 billion industry and the No. 1 dinner food. About 17% of all U.S. restaurants are pizza based, 93% of Americans eat a minimum of one whole pizza per month, and 350 slices of pizza are eaten by Americans every second.
