CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI – Friars Kitchen and Bakery celebrates their 30th year in Clinton Township in 2014 with a special Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. The location on Garfield will be offering customers a 30 percent discount on all orders for the entire day, for dining guests only. There will be a special Anniversary Cake Cutting at 2 p.m.

The Rubino family opened Friars Kitchen and Bakery as Friar Tuck’s Restaurant on Garfield in 1984. The restaurant is the second location for Friars; the Warren location on 12 Mile and Ryan Road is the original location started nearly 50 years ago. The Rubino family has owned and operated both locations for years with great success. Both Friars restaurants are known for their family entrees, healthy for you entrees, and bakery items like their healthy cookies and sugar free pies, and of course, their 10 soups a day.

“The community has continually supported us over the years so we would like to celebrate and give something back,” said Vince Rubino, owner of Friars Kitchen and Bakery in Clinton Township. “We planned a full all day long celebration so many of our customers have the opportunity to join us.”
