When it comes to great pizza, why should humans have all the fun? During a special fundraiser at Spin Neapolitan Pizza in Olathe, Kansas, September 13, dogs were invited to chow down on a 3-course human-quality meal of pizza, breadsticks and gelato. All proceeds from the event went to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, based in Kansas City, Kansas.

KMBC reports the 9th annual Ciao Bow Wow was held at Spin, and dozens of dogs and their owners took part. Humane Society Spokesperson Kathi Nichols says the puppy pizza party is "a really special event held each year to add some additional funds to help us take care of all the animals."  According to the broadcasters dishing on the doggy ciaodown, the pooches' favorite pizza flavor was, not surprisingly, "pupperoni."
