Woodfired pizza is on the menu at a new restaurant that opened October 6 in Atlanta, along with other Italian specialties like grilled octopus and pasta dishes such as agnolotti with duck ragu and bucatini with blue crab.

Indaco Atlanta is the fourth restaurant opened by The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Indaco also has locations in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Greenville and Charleston, South Carolina. It will focus on rustic Italian flavors and leisurely meals for family and friends, the company said.

“As a team always looking to join vibrant communities, it feels natural to plant roots along the BeltLine,” said Steve Palmer, founder of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, in a press release. “We’re looking forward to serving this active, lively neighborhood, and we’re excited to offer a variety of experiences. Whether you’re coming in for a quick pizza and beer on our patio or have chosen to commemorate a special occasion with us, Indaco has something for everyone.”

Situated in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward just above the Eastside BeltLine trail, Indaco Atlanta’s locally sourced menu features a selection of pizzas, antipasti, pastas and entrees. Pizza fans can indulge in pies like the Brussels Pizza (mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, Genoa salami, apple and honey) and the Oreganata (tomatoes, Calabrian chili, garlic, oregano, Pecorino and Stracciatella.

Some non-pizza highlights include the Grilled Octopus (made with a sunchoke stufato, lupini beans, fennel, parsley and lemon aioli), the Agnolotti (duck ragu, ricotta, broth, Pecorino Romano and crispy farro), and the Bucatini (blue crab, uni, lemon and pangratatto).

With the “for the table” option, guests can let the chef team curate three courses, served family-style, for $55/person. Grab-and-go options will be available later this fall.

The wine program emphasizes Italian wines, but guests can also choose from a selection of seasonal and classic cocktails, housemade sodas and spirit-free beverages.

Spanning 4,800 square feet and seating up to 130 guests, Indaco’s design was inspired by the patterns and pastel hues of the Amalfi Coast.

The space “reflects a warm combination of Italian influences and a neighborly, welcoming atmosphere,” the press release stated. “A large back-to-back banquette, upholstered in a blue-striped fabric reminiscent of the classic umbrellas that line the beaches of Italy, visually centers the room, and a similarly striped, tiled pizza oven stands as the focal point of the open kitchen.”

Indaco Atlanta also offers outdoor dining for 45 guests, including both covered and non-covered areas, as well as a built-in bocce court.
